WHAT TO EXPECT

As a new client of our practice, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs. Our service will be provided with courtesy and respect. To ensure that all your concerns are addressed, please call to make an appointment ahead of time as we do not accept walk in appointments.

When preparing for your appointment, please ensure that your dog is on a leash and/or your cat is in a carrier. If you suspect your pet may have a contagious disease (coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea), please call from your car to inform the receptionist that you have arrived and we can have an exam room prepared for you. At Chartwell Vet Clinic, our goal is to always see our clients and patients on time. However, there will be times when the unexpected can create delays. We will ensure that you are informed of the delay right away and that these are minimized as much as possible.

When you have arrived for your appointment, typically you will be greeted by a receptionist. Next, we will obtain a body weight and you will be ushered into an exam room as soon as one is available. Depending on the day, a technician may start the appointment by obtaining a thorough history. A veterinarian will meet you in the exam room next, examine your pet, answer your questions and plan further diagnostics or treatment as necessary. Once the appointment is completed, you will normally see the receptionist again to wrap things up. If applicable, our support staff will provide you with further educational information, summarize any medications going home and handle billing and/or schedule any needed follow-up.

We are excited to meet you and your human and animal family members!
